Reviewer Notes: I had never been to this casino, but it was recommended by someone at another casino. I booked the hotel on line, which was very easy and quick to do. A lot of room type options, and great descriptions to aid in decision. I thought the room I had (a junior suite) was a little pricey, but I decided to go for it. The room was very nice, a large sitting area, desk, king bed, 2 TVs, over sized/soaking tub with whirlpool jets, very large shower stall. Very clean, and nicely decorated. Check in was a breeze, and the agent was spectacular at making sure I had all the information about the hotel, casino, restaurants, and shops. The casino had more video poker machines, and very different types of machines, then any casino I’ve been to in the area. They also had a great selection of regular slots, from penny to $100 machines, throughout the casino. If you win a jackpot, they will give you the choice of taking state and/or federal taxes out, or none at all. Craps tables were great, and the dealers were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The game moved quickly, yet two newcomers standing next to me got all the assistance they needed from the dealer. Their Players Club gives you a full year to earn points, which is nice as many local casinos I visit only give you six months. The points are $2 = 1 point in slots, and $7 = 1 point in video poker. I thought the $7 was a little high for video poker, yet the variety of machines gave you a lot of options. There are quite a few restaurants on property. Timbers Grill is open 24 hours a day, and serves breakfast all day long. Casual dining (order at the counter, they bring the food to your table). I had a breakfast platter (2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, toast, and potatoes), which was $10. They have a small ‘cafe’ type restaurant (White Birch). The sandwiches were just okay, but the ice cream was spectacular. It’s smooth like a gelato, although they did not call it that, with several different flavors daily. There is a Hard Rock Café on site, which had very good burgers. We were there ‘off hours’, so nothing else was going on at the time. Their buffet was great. $24 for dinner, and a huge variety of food, including a carving station and stations specializing in American, Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian. Huge salad bar and desserts, and a made to order pasta station. Valet parking is free of charge to all, and there is also a self-park garage and a surface parking lot for those that want to park themselves. Overall, a great experience, and I will definitely be going back.
