Anderson, Ind. – Hoosier Park Racing & Casino proved to be the place to be when a guest landed himself in the winner’s seat with a $428,512 jackpot on Saturday, July 28, setting a property record for the largest payout in the 10-year history of the casino.
The mega jackpot hit just two weeks following the official sale of Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, along with sister property Indiana Grand Racing & Casino, to Caesars Entertainment.
The guest, who wishes for his information to remain private, was playing the Double Wild Cherry progressive game. He noted that when the third cherry dropped on the pay line, he was stunned. Just moments later, he realized he hit the progressive jackpot and $428,512 was flashing before his eyes.
The jackpot hit on the very same night of the Caesars Entertainment welcome party, where guests had a chance to win a share of $60,000 in cash, prizes and vacation getaways.

The Double Wild Cherry game, created by gaming innovator IGT, is a classic reel slot machine with a progressive bonus feature. The progressive jackpot pool, which was seeded with $25,000 by Hoosier Park, grew to $428,512 over the course of four years before being hit on Saturday night. This record-setting jackpot nearly doubles the second largest payout at Hoosier Park, which was $226,736 on the Titanic slot machine in February of 2016.
Hoosier Park has paid out $44,989,706 in jackpots in 2018 alone, and was most recently named the second loosest slots in Indiana by Casino Player Magazine.
