When it comes to cocktails, just about anything goes. Whether you are in the mood for a classic drink like a Manhattan or a Gin and Tonic, or want something more evolved like a Margarita or Whiskey Sour, it is likely that you will find what you are looking for at your favorite casino.
We are excited to highlight some of our favorite cocktails from casinos around the country, and the friendly smiles that might be serving them!
A good bartender is a lot of things to different people- a joke teller, a shrink, an advisor, a best friend, and of course, a dispenser of adult beverages. Of course, in the case of a casino bartender, there are usually a few additional roles they are required to play. Recently, I spent some time chatting with Lamista Hackworth, a bartender at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, Florida. Over the course a few delicious mimosas, and a few (dozen) hands of video poker, I asked Lamista to share her insights into what it’s like being a casino bartender.

Southern Gaming and Destinations caught up with Joe Cahn, The Commissioner of Tailgating, (yesthere is such a person!) to talk about everything from fun foods to best tailgates. Cahn is the real deal and you can take what he says seriously.

Schure, who also serves as the president of the Arizona chapter of the National Concierge Association, says she came to the career by chance. A friend of hers was working as a concierge at Carefree, and mentioned that she thought Diane would also be great at the job. So she left behind her previous careers, a school teacher and owner of a chain of tire stores. (more…)
